When Rachel was born in August of 2000, it broke my heart to have to leave her each time I flew. International trips meant long turn-arounds, time away from my baby. Of all things, I didn't want to see someone else raising my child. And I imagine you feel the same way. My mission was to figure out a way to stay home with my family - and still enjoy the lifestyle that flying for United offered me. Wouldn't you like to be able to take a few nice vacations now and then? We were all affected by 9/11, some more than others. I wasn't flying that day, but it changed history. What was once a dream job of flying all over the world and vacationing in exotic places was now the largest area of stress in my life.
When they got close to my seniority, I chose the max furlough, up to 2007. Now, the family was faced without the income United had provided. I knew I had to find something. In 2003, as things looked worse for the South American market, United closed my flight attendant base in Miami. At the same time, domestic markets were picking up and United was recalling many of the flight attendants they had furloughed. With Miami closed, United moved my base to Chicago. Now, if recalled, I would have to commute to Chicago just to get to work. That meant leaving a day early to go on an already long trip. I needed out. So I started researching in earnest, just as I did for the products that make up the Belly Cast kit. This was serious and I was ready for a change. I had my dreams: watch Rachel grow up, provide an awesome lifestyle for my family and parents, help the needy in foreign countries, work side by side with my husband. I knew I had to find the vehicle that would take me to my dreams - because, think about it, what good is it if you are working your heart out and know that you'll never see your dreams come true?
My group knows that when you come onboard, you're immediately plugged into a great support system. You are starting your own business here, but you are never in business by yourself. I'll help you every step of the way. How many things can you say that about? So, I am actively looking for people who are ready to make a change in their life. I'm looking for leaders, self-motivated girls and guys who are willing to work at something really fun that has a huge payoff. And the best part is our vision. As I mentioned, we are going to make our home life for our families the very best; we are sponsoring missionaries and children from Compassion International. We're helping the needy, touching lives. We want to make a difference. Let me warn you. This isn't for everybody. But if you'd like to know more, I'll need a few minutes of your time and we'll see if there's a fit. So, contact me. Remember, serious people only. I'll take you with me to the top, if you're willing to put in the effort. If you do the same thing you've been doing for the last few years, will you be getting any closer to your dreams? Aren't you ready to make a change? I was! |
